IDEA Lab Monthly Newsletter: November 2024
This month, we’re excited to share milestones and innovations highlighting our commitment to advancing care for older adults. From launching the Indigenous VR project to concluding impactful site visits for immersive VR tools in long-term care, our work fosters inclusivity, joy, and meaningful care experiences. We proudly shared our collaborative research at GSA 2024 and CAG 2024, featuring projects like virtual care transitions and the Silent Disco initiative.
IDEA Lab Monthly Newsletter: October 2024
In October, our UBC IDEA Lab team engaged at the Canadian Association on Gerontology’s 2024 Annual Meeting in the City of Edmonton! With 14 posters and presentations, we shared innovative projects like the CALM Robot, Silent Disco, Virtual Team-based Care policy study and Virtual Reality (VR) programs for older people.
A highlight was Dr. Lillian Hung, UBC School of Nursing (Vancouver), Faculty of Applied Science, The University of British Columbia and Dr. Jim Mann, LL.D.’s co-presentation on Co-Create VR, which sparked insightful discussions on virtual reality’s role in care.
