Building Capacity:

  • Enhance the technical skills and capacity of the project team and trainees.
  • Recruit and support team members from historically excluded and underrepresented groups.

Prioritizing Learning Opportunities for Trainees and Early Career Researchers (ECRs):

  • Provide mentorship and leadership development opportunities across diverse sectors
  • Create safe and inclusive spaces for trainees to engage in patient-oriented research (POR) and knowledge mobilization

Meaningful Patient Partner Involvement:

  • Ensure patient partners can contribute meaningfully to research discussions and decisions through adequate support, flexibility, and fair compensation
