Intergenerational Interdisciplinary Research

What is Intergenerational Interdisciplinary Research?

Intergenerational Interdisciplinary Research (IIR) team brings together individuals with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences to co-lead the direction, development, and implementation of our research.

Intergenerational Through this initiative, we work closely with older adults with lived experience, students, and healthcare providers to co-create solutions that foster safer, more inclusive aging communities.

Interdisciplinary acknowledges the presence of differences within a group or society. This can include differences in race, gender, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, and other attributes that make individuals unique.

Inspiring researchers through IIR principles to diversify the research team and meaningfully engage lived experience partners whose experiences and insights will influence research outcomes.
