Jeffrey Wong

Jeffrey Wong (he/him) is a research assistant at the UBC Innovation in Dementia and Aging (IDEA) Lab, where he supports the Indigenous VR Storytelling and Cultural Perspectives of Aging projects.

He previously worked with Vancouver Coastal Health on the implementation and evaluation of a virtual seated dance-based intervention for older adults in long-term care. His experience in LTC sparked a passion for finding creative ways to support the wellbeing of older adults, ultimately leading him to join the IDEA Lab.

Jeffrey also serves as Co-Lead, Local Initiatives for the Canadian Social Prescribing Student Collective––a national student-led movement advancing social prescribing across Canada, supporting campus chapters and community-based projects that promote integrated health and social care.
