Last week, our very own Joey Wong, PhD student at the UBC School of Nursing (Vancouver), represented us at the 2025 Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association (CGNA) conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She presented on two of our projects: one focused on co-creating a virtual reality program with people living with dementia in long-term care, and another exploring what supports staff to stay in the sector—from feeling a sense of connection to having opportunities for growth.
We’re grateful to CGNA for bringing together such a thoughtful and committed community working to strengthen nursing care for older adults. It was an honour to be part of the conversation.
