2nd International Conference on Forest Therapy

For hospital patients and long-term care residents, a walk in the forest might be just a headset or a projector away.

At the 2nd International Conference on Forest Therapy hosted by the UBC Multidisciplinary Institute of Nature Therapy (MINT), our team had the chance to share how nature and technology can come together for healing.

Dr. Lillian Hung joined a panel discussion on forest therapy research, while PhD students Joey Wong and Lily Haopu Ren presented our work on co-creating hashtag#VirtualReality and multimedia immersive nature experiences with older adults living with dementia, bringing nature into hospitals and long-term care to support connection and wellbeing.
