
Kaylia Chan
Kaylia is an undergraduate student studying Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto with a keen interest in developing health technologies that enhance safety and quality within the patient journey, from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation.
As a member at the UBC IDEA Lab, Kaylia contributes to innovative projects that drive community impact and advance patient-centred care. She is especially dedicated to discovering new ways to support individuals with dementia and improve the quality of life for residents in long-term care homes. Through her work, Kaylia strives to make a meaningful difference in healthcare by promoting positive change and enhancing patient well-being.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Kaylia enjoys playing the violin, experimenting with new recipes, and reading. She looks forward to collaborating with the interdisciplinary team at the IDEA Lab, building connections, and furthering research in dementia and aging.
