Sanjana Karthik

Sanjana Karthik is currently on a full-ride scholarship to UBC for Sociology and has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Top 25 under 25 awards and the Service Above Self Awards (SASSY). She has dedicated over 2000 hours to volunteering, working with organizations such as the Special Olympics, senior homes, and initiatives supporting girls in India. In addition, she has hosted annual fundraisers and has been actively involved in supporting neurodiverse individuals at Uniti.

Her volunteer work extends to providing mental health support through various initiatives, such as writing letters to inmates using the 3 Principles of Psychology, offering private sessions with seniors, and helping girls in India. She also supports older adults in accessing government programs, including OAS and low-income housing. Sanjana’s commitment to mental health is further demonstrated through her work at a crisis line and as a mental health worker at Options Community Services.Sanjana remains deeply committed to growth and learning, with a clear aspiration to pursue a career in social work. Her dedication to making a positive impact in her community and beyond continues to drive her work and studies.
