IDEA Lab Monthly Newsletter: October 2024

In October, our UBC IDEA Lab team engaged at the Canadian Association on Gerontology’s 2024 Annual Meeting in the City of Edmonton!

With 14 posters and presentations, we shared innovative projects like the CALM Robot, Silent Disco, Virtual Team-based Care policy study and Virtual Reality (VR) programs for older people.

A highlight was Dr. Lillian Hung, UBC School of Nursing (Vancouver), Faculty of Applied Science, The University of British Columbia and Dr. Jim Mann, LL.D.’s co-presentation on Co-Create VR, which sparked insightful discussions on virtual reality’s role in care.
