AGE–WELL Annual Conference. October 23-24, 2024 | Edmonton, Alberta
At this year’s AGE-WELL conference, held in October, our UBC IDEA Lab team proudly shared our innovative, inclusive and collaborative research projects at the AGE-WELL Annual Conference 2024.
Highlights from UBC IDEA Lab’s AGE-WELL 2024 Participation:
- 3-Minute Research Blitz: On October 24, Lily represented our Aether Robot Team with a dynamic presentation during the 3-Minute Research Blitz, impressing the audience with our latest findings. Dr. Lillian Hung and Grace supported Lily’s presentation and sparked enthusiasm and interest among fellow researchers and attendees.
- Co-Creating VR Programs for People living with Dementia: Dr. Jim Mann and Dr. Lillian Hung led a poster presentation on behalf of our Co-Create VR Team (LIS/VIP Team), attracting a substantial audience of over 80 participants. The poster showcased how VR programs, co-created with individuals living with dementia, can bring valuable perspectives to the design and implementation of technology in care settings. Jim’s insights into the co-creation process highlighted the significance of including people living with dementia in the development of these solutions, resulting in a convincing and engaging presentation for all attendees.
