I am a third-year BA Sociology student at Trinity Western University and a volunteer at the Innovation in Dementia and Aging Lab. Previously, I worked as a research assistant at Vancouver Coastal Health, where I supported the implementation and evaluation of a virtual seated dance-based intervention for older adults living in long-term care homes. Working in LTC really ignited my passion for finding creative ways to enhance the wellbeing of older adults, which inspired me to join the IDEA Lab as a volunteer.
As the Local Initiatives Co-Lead for the Canadian Social Prescribing Student Collective, I explore how social determinants impact health, particularly in aging populations. My work focuses on promoting an integrated health and social care system.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking and songwriting, as they help me stay connected with nature and express my creativity!
