Adebusola (Busola) Adekoya

Adebusola (Busola) Adekoya

Adebusola (Busola) Adekoya is a registered nurse, AGE-WELL’s Highly Qualified Personnel, and PhD Candidate in the School of Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo.

Busola is passionate about the rights of older adults to receive quality care and maintain optimal quality of life. Her master’s thesis focused on understanding wandering (walking) from the perspectives of older adults living with dementia in long-term care. Busola’s PhD thesis examines the process of policy development and implementation of community alert systems for locating missing persons with dementia at local, municipal, and provincial or national levels in Canada, Scotland, and the United States. In her free time, Busola enjoys singing and exploring new places.
