August 2024 – the UBC IDEA Lab Summer Meeting
August 16, 2024, we gathered for our UBC IDEA Lab Summer Meeting, an inspiring, engaging gathering of patient and family partners, innovators, researchers, and students. Facilitated by our founder, Dr. Lillian Hung, UBC School of Nursing (Vancouver), The University of British Columbia, the meeting featured vibrant discussions and updates on our diverse range of projects.
From the Towards an Age-Friendly University initiative to the innovative Cycling Game and Sleepsense projects, participants shared their insights and progress. We also explored ideas through the Co-create Virtual Reality, VR Learning Innovation System (LIS), Virtual Reality Program in Long Term Care, Team-Based Virtual Care, and the Silent Disco Headphones project.
A special thank you to our dedicated patient and family partners, student trainees, and project leads who continue to drive our mission forward. Your contributions are essential in creating inclusive, innovative and equitable solutions that improve the quality of life for older adults and enhance the experience.
