World Ageing Festival, Singapore

On May 9, 2024, Dr. Lillian Hung delivered an invited keynote presentation titled “Co-design Innovation Solutions with Older Adults” at the World Ageing Festival in Singapore. During the panel discussion, Dr. Hung highlighted her work in meaningful engagement with patient partners, family caregivers, and staff across various research projects at the UBC IDEA Lab. She was joined by two other panelists: Dr. Carol Ma from Singapore University of Social Science and Dr. Myo Nyein Aung from Juntendo University, Japan. Together, they discussed strategies to enhance digital inclusion in an aging society, drawing from their expertise and perspectives. The international panel attracted over 200 attendees from Asia, Australia, and North America1. Dr. Hung emphasized the importance of integrating technology into healthcare services to better serve older adults and promote inclusive, equitable digital solutions.
