Academic Exchange at the NTU Hospital, Taipei
Dr. Lillian Hung and Lily, were invited by Dr. Cheryl Chia-Hui Chen, Director of the School of Nursing, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University (NTU), visited the NTU Hospital. They received a warm welcome and attended two presentations on using VR for staff training and a mobile app for supporting patients and caregivers. Clinicians and professors demonstrated a navigation robot for new visitors.
At the NTU Hospital, Dr. Hung and Lily delivered a keynote presentation on collaborative projects with patient and family partners at UBC IDEA Lab, attended by over 15 experts from medicine, nursing, and rehabilitation.
The robot in hospital navigated visitors to one of the programmed station-hand sanitizer to sanitize their hands and followed disease control protocols before navigating them to the next stop.
