Presentation at HongKong Polytechnic University
On June 12, Dr. Hung and Lily have delivered a presentation at HongKong polytechnic university on the use of robotics in long term care. They introduced the collaborative action research(CAR) approach in response to the question of the feasibility of implement robotic-assisted virtual care in long-term care homes.
In IDEA lab, we emphasizes on inter professional and interdisciplinary collaboration across staff champions, patient and family partners, community partners and multidisciplinary researchers and trainees.
We have identified the benefits of having robots for residents and families: stay connected, regain autonomy, and relieve caregiver burden and challenges being environment and technical issues and scheduling concerns.
