Peter Yong Zhao
I am currently a graduate student in the MHLP-SC program. Before that, I have been a physician majoring in infectious diseases with career development in Beijing, China. Besides my clinical practices, I participated in some clinical and basic laboratory research. The increasing aging population has become a global issue and more attention has been paid to how to improve the health and well-being of older people.
I realized that it is necessary for me to shift from a biomedicine-centred model to a people-centred model and contribute to the well-being of older people. My strength is critical thinking, and I am eager to learn new innovations. I am interested in improving the health and well-being of older people, especially with the aid of AI and Chinese Traditional Medicine (CTM). I am looking forward to learning and growing with each other in the IDEA lab team, sharing ideas and experiences and contributing to our team.
