VR Project Findings Presentation
On September 22nd, the Virtual Reality (VR) Team went to one of our long-term care sites to present their research dissemination from summer focus groups. They brought IDEA Lab swag and boba, and had a very engaging session talking about the project with staff!
Through the focus group sessions they found four main positive themes of usage:
- Virtual outdoor experiences
- Promoting social and physical engagement
- Reminiscence
- Virtual pet and music therapy
They also found three main considerations:
- Safety
- Resident suitability
- Resources needed
All of these findings came directly from staff and will help greatly inform their research!
