Kevin Dong

As a dedicated volunteer with the IDEA Lab since his freshman year, Kevin hopes to bridge the gap between clinicians and scientists in translating research into evidence-based clinical interventions. Through patient-oriented research and advocacy, he wants to bring attention to a geriatric population that has been marginalized by healthcare disparities, ageism, and poor long-term care infrastructure. In the coming years, his focus will be on neurodegeneration research to support healthy aging and the development of compassionate palliative care.

A poutine connoisseur, Kevin spends his free time on creative writing and finding ideal spots to nap around the UBC campus, where he majors in honours CAPS.
