I am very fortunate to say that I work as a research assistant with the IDEA Lab team, as well as a registered nurse in geriatric medicine and virtual health. At the same time, I am broadening my perspectives of geriatric healthcare through the UBC Master of Health Leadership and Policy-Seniors Care program.
I am passionate about people’s well-being, whether at work or in my personal life. I aim to improve the quality of life of older adults through easier access to resources, empowerment of older adults and care providers, and interdisciplinary collaboration on innovative improvement initiatives. Many things motivate me into pursuing my goal: the love and support in life, the resilience of life, the wish to do good with/for others, and sometimes just a simple story or a verse of music.
In the next five years, I wish to become someone who continues to inspire and engage others and advocate for the quality of life and healthcare accessibility of older adults through sustainable projects and innovations. Most importantly, I wish to stay a person who never stops caring, loving, and learning. If not working or learning, you will find me spending time with family and friends, listening to and playing music, indulging in the wonders of the world, painting, and exchanging good stories.
