Joey Wong

I am a Project Assistant in the UBC IDEALab, a former Registered Nurse from Hong Kong, now being a graduate student of UBC Master of Health Leadership and Policy in Seniors Care.

I believe that “Research is a way towards Dreams Come True”. I am passionate about bringing positive changes to the community and public health sectors through creativity, innovations, designs and technology.

Fun fact: I am also passionate in cats and dim sum!

I love teamwork, especially when I am working with people having similar vision and values. When people are passionate, they are devoted to their work and push the team going forward. People’s passion motivates me. That’s why I love working in the IDEALab!

In the coming five years, I want to continuously equip myself with experiences and knowledge on community engagement. I want to continue participating in research and activities which bring innovations and differences to the community. I hope that I can connect with more people in need and cocreate changes that are tailored for them.

As a newbie to Vancouver, I enjoy walking in the beautiful UBC campus and having dim sum in different restaurants! I would love to know the most delicious dim sum you have had in Vancouver!
