Following completion of undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia, I pivoted into nursing school at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. I was trained as a cardiac surgery nurse and transitioned over to public health. Prior to nursing, I was a research assistant at BC Cancer – Terry Fox Laboratory and the UBC Biomedical Research Centre with the Rossi Lab. I worked with Dr. Robert Judson on investigating pathways and mechanisms of skeletal muscle growth and regeneration.

As an IDEA lab member, I hope to collaborate with the team to improve the quality of life for everyone in the community – especially the older population. As a member of the IDEA lab, I am excited to see how we can integrate research, creativity, science, policies, and technology to facilitate aging in a healthier way. Outside of work, school, and research, I enjoy watercolour painting and swimming!
