Dementia Friendly Cafe
On July 13th, IDEA Lab visited the Dementia Friendly Café, organized by Burnaby Seniors Outreach and the Burnaby Neighborhood House.
At the event, we showcased two projects developed by our team: CALM and LOVOT robots Leading up to the event, our team prepared by creating an engaging presentation, customizing questionnaires, and puzzles, and assembling the robots.
Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to socialize, listen to beautiful music, and most importantly, connect with patient and family partners, students, and everyone present, fostering meaningful interactions. Together, we are creating a more inclusive and dementia-friendly community, one step at a time.
