Alison Shieh
I am currently a nursing student at UBC. I first became interested in geriatric care after volunteering in a long-term care facility and in a support group for individuals with early-onset dementia. As a nursing student and as I begin my career as a nurse, I hope to continue working with the older adult population to improve their health, well-being, and quality of life. As a volunteer with the IDEA Lab, I am very excited to be able to participate in the implementation of innovative strategies to achieve these goals.
Some of my hobbies include playing badminton, watching movies, and spending quality time with friends and family. I am also a huge animal lover and enjoy walking or playing with my dogs.
