Paulina Santaella

Mexican physician with a Specialization in Pharmaceutical Medicine and a Master’s in Social Responsibility.

Mother of 2 lovely children, happy wife, caring daughter and currently a full-time student at UBC (MHLP SC).

Since the beginning of my professional career, I have worked in pharmacovigilance research. Subsequently, I worked in the field of neurology as a Medical Scientific Liaison, where I had the opportunity to work with national and international Key Opinion Leaders, and get insights into what really matters are the patients (and also what matters for them).

Throughout this experience, I was able to focus my efforts in the ethics of the pharmaceutical industry as a Compliance Officer, without leaving aside pharmacovigilance as the Local Compliance Officer for the Company.
In order to base my work, I studied a Master’s Degree in Social Responsibility in which I learned the importance of the planet, profits and most importantly, the people.
My main goal is to change the perspective that senior people are a burden to society to a perspective where senior people are managers of their own life through their vast experience.
